10-Basic Rules of Survival

  1. Evaluate the threat , and determine if it can be avoided or if it requires action
  2. No one attacks, unless they mean to do harm, injure or kill us-remember this if forced into a confrontation and act accordingly
  3. When attacked you need to determine the degree of force need to neutralize or eliminate the threat and use it
  4. You must adapt to the situation and defend your self with everything you have in skills, knowledge, weaponry and live to worry about the consequence later
  5. You may find yourself in a kill or be killed situation, unlike competition in survival situations, there is no second place or runner ups.
  6. One must be able to be explosive and use Ki in all movements
  7. Convert your defense into an offense once attacked
  8. Be able to detach emotions such as anger, fear, even over-confidence, these cause you to lose control and may prevent your survival
  9. By being detached you can manage your breath and you can observe the breath of others this is critical to survival skills.
  10. Quitting in a survival situation equates to death- continuing regardless of the odds equates to life

A survivor attitude incorporate the knowledge that: One must be self sufficient: Know only you can breath for you; Know only you can think for you; Know only you can make yourself keep going and survive the seemingly impossible; Life is all about choice, you choice determines the outcome.
